CABLE MANAGEMENT TRAY

The Chassis can power up to 8 PDV Modules and receive any combination of Multiplexer & PDV Modules. Additional power conditioning is provided to ensure clean and stable power is delivered to the optical receivers. Internal components are protected from over power situations by continuously monitoring the input power. If detected the system automatically adjusts to full attenuation.

MEMS variable optical attenuators are located on the incoming reference and signal lines along with a corresponding power meter. A third power meter is located after the circulator measuring the signal returning from the probe. Monitoring this location allows for protection of the optical receiver.

Our control software allows monitoring and control of every module in the system in one easy place. It displays the current power readings, with power levels adjustable from -25 to +27 dBm. It runs on Windows 10.
