• TS&I is a company that specializes in PDV (photonic doppler velocimetry) and other custom projects. We are based out of Provo, Utah.

What is PDV?

• PDV stands for photonic doppler velocimetry. PDV is a 1550nm laser interferometer for detecting the doppler shift of high velocity reflective surfaces. A digital oscilloscope records the signal from the photodiode.

What is the maximum power the module can take safely?

• Our modules are rated for 500 milliwatts.

How many channels per chassis?

• Currently our product has 8 channels. We are in the development of a 16 channel system that is time and frequency multiplexed requiring only 4 scope channels.  

What velocity range can be measured?

• The velocity range depends on what oscilloscope you use. However, the bandwidth of our optical receiver is limited to 15.5 km/s velocity range, but one can upshift.
